Rear Axle Hub

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove rear wheels.
2. Remove rear drum, remove oil seal, bearings, then using a suitable drift remove bearing races.
3. When replacing bearings, apply grease to bearing surface, install new bearing races, then new oil seal.
4. On 1989 models, adjust bearing nut by applying 15 ft. lbs. of torque, back off nut to 0 ft. lbs., then apply 4 ft. lbs. of torque. Install new cotter pin, then bearing cap.
5. On 1990-92 models, torque bearing nut to 108-145 ft. lbs.
