Stabilizer & Strut Bar
1. Raise and support vehicle.2. Disconnect stabilizer bar from lower arms and No. 1 crossmember and remove bar.
3. Disconnect strut bar at lower arm and No. 1 crossmember and remove bar.
4. Inspect stabilizer bar, strut bar and all bushings, replacing as necessary. Strut bar bend should not exceed .12 inch.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Note white paint mark on lefthand side strut bar.
b. Install locknut on strut bar so that outer edge of nut is 3.17 inches from end of bar.
c. Tighten strut bar locknut and strut bar to No. 1 crossmember nut, strut bar to lower arm bolt, stabilizer bar to No. 1 crossmember bolts, and stabilizer bar bracket bolts to specifications. Strut bar and stabilizer bar should be torqued to specifications after vehicle is lowered to the floor.
d. Check for correct wheel alignment.
