Fuel Shut-off Solenoid: Description and Operation

On some models, when the ignition is turned off, a deceleration solenoid valve cuts off fuel flow to prevent engine run-on. Under certain deceleration conditions, the valve reduces fuel flow to decrease HC emissions and improve fuel economy.
