Disassembly

1. Disconnect water hose from throttle body and wax element.
2. Remove throttle return and damper spring.
3. Using suitable hand grinder, grind down choke cover lock screw heads and remove choke cover, Fig. 15.
4. Remove throttle position sensor.
5. Disengage throttle opener/dash pot rod from free lever, then remove throttle opener/dash pot from float chamber cover.
6. Disconnect connector at middle of solenoid harness.
7. Remove bowl vent valve harness from connector and connector assembly from float chamber cover.
8. Remove deceleration, enrichment and jet mixture solenoid valves from float chamber cover.
9. Remove bowl vent solenoid and valve.
10. Remove vacuum hose from depression chamber and throttle body.
11. Remove choke breaker cover, then disconnect depression chamber rod from secondary throttle lever and remove depression chamber, Fig. 16.
12. Remove accelerator pump rod from throttle lever.
13. Remove snap ring from choke rod, then disconnect rod from choke lever.
14. Remove float chamber cover screws (B), Fig. 17, then separate throttle body from main body.
15. Remove float chamber cover to main body attaching screws (A), Fig. 17, then separate chamber cover from main body.
16. Remove float retaining pin, then the float and needle valve.
17. Unscrew retainer, then remove needle seat using suitable pliers. When removing needle seat, clamp larger outer circumference of seat to avoid damage.
18. Remove main jets, then the pilot jet retainer and secondary pilot jet.
19. Remove choke pinion assembly lock screws, then the choke pinion assembly.
20. Remove accelerator pump check weight and ball and steel ball of anti-overfill device.
21. Remove accelerator pump attaching screws, then the pump cover link assembly, diaphragm, spring body and gasket.
22. Remove snap ring from sub-EGR control valve pin, then pull out pin and remove link from valve.
23. Remove steel ball and spring, then the sub-EGR control valve.
