PURPOSE

The fuel filler doors of early 1987 Precis LS vehicles may not open easily because the doors are sticking to the rubber stabilizing bumpers on the inside of the opening. An improved fuel filler door spring (P/N 81561-21000) is available to reduce this condition (Figure 1). The new part has been added to production vehicles beginning May 25, 1987.

NOTE: This spring applies only to vehicles equipped with the remote fuel filler door release.
