Intercooler Duct: Service and Repair



11 61 365 Replacing left charge-air duct (N14)







IMPORTANT:
Charge-air hoses with clamp fastenings must be installed dry and free from grease.
Sealing faces and fittings must be dry and free from grease.
If gaiter and charge-air hoses with clamp fastenings are not installed dry and free from grease, this may result in turbocharger failure.







Release screw and disengage coolant expansion tank (1) from rubber mount.
Lay expansion tank (1) to one side (do not remove).

Installation:
Make sure bearing journal is installed in correct position in rubber mount.

Release clamp (2) and detach charge-air duct (3).

Installation:
Install charge-air duct (3) dry and free from grease.
Fitting on turbocharger must be dry and free from grease.







Release clamp and detach charge-air duct (1).







Release screw and remove charge-air duct (1).
