41 61 001 - Replacing engine bonnet/hood





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove engine hood [1][2]41 61 000 Removing and Installing Hood/Bonnet
- Modify spray nozzle 61 71 015 Removing and Installing/Replacing A Jet Nozzle In Windscreen Washer System
- Modify trim rings Removing and Installing / Replacing Trim Ring for Left or Right Headlight
- Modify front and rear trim strips
- Modify retaining hook Removing and Installing/Replacing Arrester Hook on Engine Hood and striker
- Modify noise insulation





For cars with electric motors:

Warning!
Voltages up to 1000 V can occur on the car!
Work on the high-voltage system may only be carried out by specially trained electricians!
Before work is started, the high-voltage system must be fully deactivated by a specially trained electrician and secured against unauthorized restarting!
Before work is started, the safety instructions on handling electric vehicles must be read!





Important!
Do not damage bonnet/hood outer skin.

Carry over hole pattern to new part in areas (1) and cut out inner panel.

Paint bonnet/hood.
