Carpet: Service and Repair

51 47 314 Removing and installing/replacing carpet for passenger compartment







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove bottom right heating and air-conditioning unit
- Remove both front seats
- Remove accelerator pedal module
- Remove parking brake lever
- Remove both door sill cover strip at the rear
- Remove both rear seats

Depending on version:
- Remove central bass speaker cover







Unclip protective cap (1) on the left and right.
Lever out carpet (2) using a hook.







Release clip (1).
Undo nut (2) and remove ground cable.
Remove carpet (3) towards the top over the gearshift lever (4) and cable.

Installation note:
Ensure correct position of the cable.







Installation note:
Apertures serve to position the carpet when inserting it.
