Engine switch-off time (downtime period), plausibility

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
An error is detected when the registered engine cooling is
too great relative to the engine's calculated downtime.
Threshold data for downtime vary according to coolant
temperature at engine off/engine on and the ambient
temperature when the engine is switched on
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
0 V < electrical system voltage < 25.6 V

Condition for fault memory entry
0 sec.

Action in service
1. Watch for DTCs related to the coolant sensor, replace
coolant as required
2. Check power supply at instrument cluster
3. Replace instrument cluster
