Engine-oil-pressure sensor, plausibility
Fault description
Engine oil-pressure sensor, plausibility
Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The error is recognized when the oil pressure exceeds the
ambient pressure by more than 400 mbar prior to engine
start.
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
none
Condition for fault memory entry
0.12 sec.
Action in service
1. With engine off use tester with status_systemcheck_odr to
read out the oil pressure. If the oil pressure is between 700
hPa and 1300 hPa just delete the logged DTCs from the
error memory and do not take any other action.
2. Collateral error: If the DTC 0x2F76 has been logged,
simply carry out the action prescribed for this problem
3. Check contact of ground wire at oil-pressure sensor
4. If the problem reappears check all of the wiring to the oil-
pressure sensor
5. If the problem recurs replace the oil-pressure sensor
