Condition for fault memory entry
0.3 sec.

Action in service
1. Determine whether one of the two Valvetronic servo-
motor wires (CMI-201(O_P_VVT1M) and/or CMI-
202(O_P_VVT2M)) is grounded. Switch off ignition for this
procedure.
2. Check wiring harness for short circuits to ground
3. If no short circuit is present in the wiring harness: Check
Valvetronic actuator motor pins for interturn short circuit to
housing (ground)
4. Replace DME.
