Fault description
Intelligent Battery Sensor, self-diagnosis 2

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
BSD bus active
Terminal condition: Change Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
none

Condition for fault memory entry
5 sec.

Action in service
1. Check whether additional faults have been entered for
other control modules with Terminal 15 wakeup (SPEG,
DME, SZL, CAS, ABS/DSC, EPS)
2. Check TERM15/wakeup wire 15WUP for open or
intermittent open
3. With battery sensor disconnected and TERM 15 off,
check TERM15/wakeup wire 15WUP for short to positive
4. With battery sensor disconnected and TERM 15 on, check
TERM15/wakeup wire 15WUP for short to ground
5. With battery sensor connected and TERM 15 off, check
TERM15/wakeup wire 15WUP for short to positive, replace
battery sensor as indicated
6. With battery sensor connected and TERM 15 on, check
TERM15/wakeup wire 15WUP for short to ground, replace
battery sensor as indicated
