Engine-oil-pressure system

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
This fault is recognized when an increase in oil pressure to
counteract fluctuations in oil pressure fails to produce the
desired effect.
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
Voltage in onboard electrical system >10V

Condition for fault memory entry
0.1 sec.

Action in service
1. Check oil level. If the oil level is below minimum confine
action to replenishing the oil and conducting a road test.
2. If the problem reappears replace the oil-pressure control
valve + oil change
3. If the problem still continues to appear replace the entire
pump assembly (pump + valve)

Slight increase in fuel consumption
Possible noise generation (oil pump whines)
