Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
Engine at part-load
Engine speed > 1600 rpm
No other DTCs logged
No operation in emergency default mode
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
none

Condition for fault memory entry
The error must appear 30 times in sequence in accordance
with the debounce frequency.
Otherwise the debounce counter is reset and the debounce
process starts again at the beginning.

Action in service
1. Check engine for mechanical defects and loose ancillary
components
2. Check knock sensor installation
3. Replace knock sensor
