Squeak from Rear Seat Backrest

SITUATION

The leather rear seat backrest (with leatherette side panels) squeaks against the rear quarter trim panel.

CAUSE

The top outer corner of the rear seat backrest (near the latch) contacts the rear quarter trim casing, and in rare cases can cause a squeaking noise.

PROCEDURE

Spray the rear quarter trim piece with sliding agent "Carbaflo" in the area that contacts the rear seat outer top corner.
