Check The Outer Gearshift Sliding Rail And Gearshift Dome

Repair instruction
1. Check the ease of movement for the gearshift dome in relation to the transmission.
2. Check the sliding rails for soiling. Clean the sliding rails and gear lever. Remove any corrosion from the gear lever.
3. Remove the gear lever cover.
4. Check the ease of movement of the gear lever and deflection lever, paying particular attention to narrow points at carpet cutouts. If the sequence of movements of the deflection lever is inhibited, rework the carpet.
5. If the no fault is found at the sliding rails, gear lever and deflection lever, replace the gearshift dome on the transmission.

Check the gearshift dome for ease of movement.







Check the ease of movement for the area of the gearshift dome in relation to the transmission. The gear lever on the gearshift dome must be able to move up and down without obstruction on shifting gears.
