Rear Door Hinge: Service and Repair

41 62 060 - Removing and installing/replacing hinge for left or right splitdoor





Read contents of Body, General Service Precautions.
For stripping and rigging operations, refer to texts on KSD CD (FR number 41 62 060).





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear light Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Rear Light.
- Remove gas strut Removing and Installing / Replacing Gas Strut for Left or Right Splitdoor.
- Remove trim on splitdoor .





Release holder (1) in direction of arrow and carefully pull out.





Disconnect both plugs (1) and detach plug from holder (2).





Release wiring harness (1) from body and carefully feed out.

Installation:
Make sure wiring harness is correctly seated (watertightness).
Release screws and remove holder (2).





Release nuts and remove splitdoor (1).
Tightening torque 41 62 2AZ [1][2]Specifications.





Release screws and remove hinge (1).
Tightening torque 41 62 2AZ [1][2]Specifications.





Installation:
Adjust splitdoor Adjusting Left and Right Splitdoor to Fit.
