Adjusting Clubdoor




41 52 022 - Adjusting Clubdoor





Caution!
Do not damage adjoining body parts.
Minor corrections (realignment work) are permitted if the existing adjustment options are not sufficient.
More extensive additional work may result in damage to the door outer surface or cause wind noises.





Observe gap dimensions .
Read contents of Body, General Service Precautions.
The door must be provided with all attachment parts for correct adjustment.
Adjust screwed body parts from rear to front.
When door is closed, lock strikers must not make contact with or brush against door locks. Look out for scratches.
Slacken lock strikers, remove if necessary.





Slacken nuts until door can still just be moved.
Tightening torque 41 52 2AZ [1][2]Rear Door.





Adjust door in longitudinal direction (X) by fitting shims (1).
Adjust door in transition to side panel laterally (Y) and vertically (Z).

Installation:
To preset new part, carry over number of shims from damaged door.





Check that adjoining body parts are flush in terms of height and correct if necessary.





Note:
Adjustment in lateral direction (Y) in front area of door is effected by means of upper and lower door detents(strikers).





After installation:
- Tighten all screws and nuts to specified torque.
- Touch up unpainted surfaces in the appropriate color.
- If necessary, adjust front door [1][2]41 5. ... Adjust Door.
