72 11 022 Removing And Installing/Replacing Front Left Or Right Seat Belt

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear side trim panel







Release screw (1).
Remove reversing clip (2).

Installation:

Tightening torque
3AZ Deflection fitting
- to height adjuster
M10 36 Nm
Type: R50 / R53

- to body
M10 36 Nm
Type: R55 / R56

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque
2AZ Inertia reel device, seat belt, front
- to "B-pillar"
R50/R53 29 Nm
R52 / R55 / R56 36 Nm

Remove inertia reel mechanism (2).







Installation:
Inertia reel mechanism (2) is coded against incorrect installation (3).
Replace screw (1) and insert with Loctite.







Release screw (1).

Tightening torque
4AZ Seat belt, front, anchor fitting, sliding rail
R50 / R52 / R53 36 Nm
R55 / R56 36 Nm

NOTE: Duo-Taptite screw coated with micro GLEIT DF 921

Installation:
Replace screw and insert with Loctite.
Feed out anchor fitting from trim panel for door pillar (top)
