Rattling Noises In All Gears

Transmission Rattle In All Gears

Complaint
In a few cases, a rattling, bumping noise can occur during acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear. The noise occurs in an engine speed range of 800 rpm to 1200 rpm. Noise also audible when driving under light load.

Repair instruction
The noise does not indicate damage. It is ineffective to replace parts. A certain rattling noise cannot be avoided due to the design of this transmission. In some cases, a striking drive belt on driving off is confused with transmission rattle. Check whether the alternator is fitted with freewheel.
