Noises when shifting gear while the vehicle is being driven
1. Whizzing noises from gear lever
Vehicles with petrol engine. Whizzing noises from the gear lever at an engine speed above 5000 rpm, mainly in 2nd gear. The noise disappears when a load is applied to the gear lever.
2. Howling / peeping noise
Brief howling noise on shifting down from 2nd to 1st gear at approx. 50 km/h. The noise only occurs on closing the clutch, not the gear change itself. Occasionally also on shifting down from 3rd to 2nd gear.
3. Synchronous scratching on switching from 1st to 2nd gear
Scratching noise when shifting quickly from 1st to 2nd gear, mainly when driving off with the engine cold. Mainly on vehicles in the production period from 4/2007 to 6/2007. Remedial measure included as of date of manufacture 08/2007.
4. Impacts in the gearshift gate 1st - 2nd gear and reverse gear
Impacts in the gearshift gate 1st - 2nd and reverse gear Engagement noises on engaging the gears.
