SUBJECT
Service Engine Soon Light Is On with Faults 2786 or 2B5B Stored

MODEL
[NEW] R56 with the N14 engine produced up to 8/1/2007

SITUATION
The Service Engine Light is on with either of the following faults stored:

2786 - Additional mixture adaptation, mixture too lean

2B5B - Air mass plausibility, air mass compared with model to high

CAUSE
DME software diagnostic sensitivity

CORRECTION
[NEW] On a customer complaint basis only, reprogram the vehicle using only Progman V26.02.00 or higher. Please ensure all intake components are installed and secured properly.

Covered under the terms of the MINI New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Please refer to the latest KSD for all applicable labor operations and allowances.

If the appropriate labor operation is not contained in KSD, then a work time labor operation should be used.
