Replacing Radial Shaft Seal for Manual Shifting Valve Shaft (CVT) (Transmission Removed)

24 50 502 - Replacing radial shaft seal for manual shifting valve shaft (CVT) (transmission removed)





Special tools required:
- 24 5 410 24 5 410 Extractor
- 24 5 420 24 5 420 Drift





Note:
After completion of work, check transmission fluid level Service and Repair.

Important!
Use only the approved transmission fluid. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!





Remove nut (1), shim (2) and selector lever (3).

Installation Note:
Replace nut (1).

Tightening torque 25 16 3AZ





Screw special tool 24 5 410 24 5 410 Extractor into radial shaft seal.

Screw bolt into special tool and remove sealing ring.





Fit new radial shaft seal on special tool 24 5 420 24 5 420 Drift and drive in.

Installation Note:
Lubricate radial shaft seal with gear oil.
