Valve Cover: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing, Sealing Cylinder Head Cover





Turn ignition off.

Disconnect hose (1).

Disconnect PCV valve (2).

Disconnect connector to coil pack (3).

Remove plug caps (twist and pull) (4).

Remove harness clips from cylinder head cover bolts.

Remove coil pack.





Remove 12 cylinder head cover bolts.

Remove cylinder head cover.





Install hint:

Replace cylinder head cover gasket if necessary.

Clean mating faces with a suitable material.

Note: Cylinder head cover fixing screws are separate from the cylinder head cover.

Replace retaining screws and insulators if damaged.





Install hint: Install cylinder head cover and tighten screws to sequence.
Cylinder head cover to cylinder head 12 Nm
