Repair instructions for loose seal on the tensioning bracket

Complaint

The seal on the trim strip of the clamping bracket comes loose.
See Fig. 1.

Cause

The trim strip of the tensioning bracket is badly adjusted. This leads to an increased load on the seal.

Repair instruction

Replace the trim strip of the clamping bracket and set the position of the trim strip with the bolts shown in Fig. 2. Set the trim strip on the clamping bracket in such a way that there is a gap of 0.5 mm to 1 mm between the seal and the vehicle body. See Fig. 3.

The gap between the seal and body should be 0.5 mm to 1 mm.
