7D information memory: overload protection for hydraulic pump activated

Excessive operating temperature can damage the hydraulic pump. For this reason, the Convertible top module uses a counter to record the number of Convertible top operations carried out. If the Convertible top is very frequently opened and closed within a short time, the overload protection is activated to prevent any more operations of the Convertible top.

After activation of the overload protection, the Convertible top cannot be opened or closed for 15 minutes. This enables the hydraulic pump to cool down.

The entry in the fault memory indicates that the overload protection was activated. In the test module, the current state of the overload protection is displayed.

This is not an electrical or mechanical fault. If necessary, the vehicle user is to be informed of this technically necessary protection function.
