51 16 392 - Removing and installing/replacing storage compartment in instrument panel trim (driver's side)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- If necessary, remove switch Service and Repair for headlight vertical aim control





R50/R53 up to 07/04 only:
Release screws (1).
Snap clips (2 and 3) out.
Remove storage compartment from instrument panel trim.





Pull out storage compartment (1) in direction of arrow from retaining points (2).





Fold storage compartment (1) down and unclip guides (2) starting on right.

Installation:
Clips (3) must not be damaged.
If necessary, replace faulty clips (3).





Installation:
Locking pins (1) and guides (2) must not be damaged.
