SUBJECT
Rear Fog Light Warning in Check Control

MODEL
R56 (Cooper, Cooper S)

Vehicles produced from August 31, 2006 to June 30, 2007

Vehicles with option 7AR (Aerodynamics Package), but without option 5AA (Rear Fog Lights).

SITUATION
The rear fog light warning is present in the check control and the following faults are currently present in the FRM2 (Footwell Module).

^ A8C0 "rear fog light/adaptive brake light, right, faulty open circuit"

^ A8BF "rear fog light/adaptive brake light, left, faulty open circuit"

CAUSE
Incorrect FRM2 coding software.

CORRECTION
Program the complete vehicle per SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming), Procedure B, using Progman V26.02.01 or higher.

WARRANTY INFORMATION
Covered under the terms of the MINI New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Please refer to the latest KSD for all applicable labor operations and allowances.

If the appropriate labor operation is not contained in KSD, then a work time labor operation should be used.
