Removing and Installing Complete Rear Left or Right Power Window Unit

51 37 000 - Removing and installing complete rear left or right power window unit





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear side trim panel Removing and Installing Rear Left or Right Side Trim Panel
- Remove inner window cavity cover strip Removing and Installing/Replacing Window Cavity Cover Strip for Door Window, Rear Left or Right
- Remove outer window cavity cover strip Outside





Release screws (1) and remove connecting bracket (2).
Tightening torque 51 37 4AZ Specifications.





Side window (1) must be opened to dimension (A).
A= - approx. 150 mm





Slacken nut (1) (do not release fully).
Tightening torque 51 37 3AZ Specifications.





Slacken screws (1) on power window unit (2) (do not release fully).
Tightening torque 51 37 3AZ Specifications.





Pull out power window unit (1) towards top slightly.
Lift out cable holder (2) from power window unit (1).
Disconnect plug connection (3) on flat motor (4).
Remove power window unit (1).





Presettings after fitting power window unit:
Preset dimension (A) at power window unit (1) (window glass breakage); only then may the power window unit (1) be actuated.
Dimension (A) = 18.5 mm





Close window completely.
Check gap dimensions (A and B) between side window (1) and flange on side panel (2) and adjust if necessary.
Dimension (A) = 16 mm
Dimension (B) = 10 mm





Open convertible top and convertible top compartment lid.
Fit window cavity cover (1).
Preset dimension (C) between window cavity cover (1) and flange on side panel (2).
Dimension (C) = 24 mm

Installation:
Check function.
Adjust rear side window Adjustments.
