Clutch Release Bearing: Service and Repair

21 51 500 - Removing and installing or replacing clutch release unit/lever (W11, W17)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove transmission
When installing a new clutch, you must also replace the release bearing.





Remove release bearing (1) from release lever.

Installation:
Clean all sliding surfaces.





Installation:
Apply a thin film of Unirex S2 lubricant to inner sleeve of bearing.
Grease: Refer to BMW Operating Fluids.
Attach bearing to release lever (1).
