Removing and Installing Rear Left or Right Spring Strut Shock Absorber

33 52 100 - Removing and installing rear left or right spring strut shock absorber





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove wheel Removing or Installing Front or Rear Wheel

Note:
Whether a shock absorber has to be replaced can only be ascertained by testing it while installed with a shock tester or while removed with a shock absorber testing machine.





If necessary, remove stoneguard.
Support trailing arm on workshop hoist and release bolt (1).

Installation:
Tightening torque 33 52 1AZ Shock Absorbers (Rear)





Pull rubber grommet off wheel speed sensor (1) and brake hose (2) from brackets on shock absorber.

Installation:
Make sure rubber grommets are correctly seated.





Unfasten screws (1).
Support shock absorber and remove.

Installation:
Tightening torque 33 52 2AZ Shock Absorbers (Rear)
