Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Rear Light

63 21 180 - Removing and installing/replacing left or right rear light





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Move convertible top to loading position Opening and Closing Loading Aid (Easyload)





Tilt cover (1) away from luggage compartment wheel arch trim (2) and remove.





Note:
Luggage compartment wheel arch trim shown removed for purposes of clarity.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release nut (2), tightening torque 63 21 1AZ [1][2]Mechanical Specifications.
Unlock retainers (3) and remove rear light (4) outwards from side panel.





Installation:
Make sure sealing frame (1) is correctly seated on rear light (2).
Lugs (3) must be exactly seated in associated locators.
If necessary, replace sealing frame (1).
