51 24 095 - Removing and installing/replacing emergency release device for rear lid





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Partially remove panel for rear lid .





Release screws (1) on emergency release device (2).
Feed out handle (3) on emergency release device (2) in upwards direction.





Press tab (1) of emergency release device downwards and feed out Bowden cable (2) in direction of arrow.





Press catches (1) on Bowden cable (2) together and remove emergency release device (3).





Installation:
Perform function check with rear lid open.





Replacement:
If necessary, pull upper section of clip (1) off lower section of clip (2) in upwards direction.

Installation:
Catches on upper and lower sections of clip (1) and (2) must not be damaged.
