Replacing Backrest Cover for Left or Right Front Seat (TU)

52 13 405 - Replacing backrest cover for left or right front seat (TU)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear panel on front seat Removing and Installing/Replacing Backward Backrest Panel on Left or Right Front Seat (Normal/Manual)
- Remove guide for head restraint Removing and Installing/Replacing Guide for Front Left or Right Head Restraint (TU)
- Remove handwheel for lumbar support Removing and Installing Lumbar Support on Front Seat (TU)

Warning!
Seat and backrest frames of front seats have very sharp edges. Risk of injury and damage!





Pull off self-adhesive sponge rubber (1).

Installation:
If necessary, attach new sponge rubber strip (1).





Disengage metal eyelet (1) from fabric tape fastener (2).

Installation:
When fitting, lay first fleece (4) and then foam material (3) between backrest frame and metal eyelet. Rattling noises.





Version with seat heating:

Turn plug housing (4) in counterclockwise direction and remove from seat frame.

Cut open cable tie (2).

Installation:
Replace cable tie.

Release plug connector (1) and pull off.
Disengage wiring harness from plastic holder (3) and feed out of seat frame.





Disengage tensioning wire (1) from backrest frame.

Lever welt (2) on left and right out of backrest frame.

Pull cover fastener (3) off backrest frame.

Remove backrest cover with padding from backrest frame.





Installation:
Feed inner bag (1) with metal eyelet through padding (2).

Feed inner bag (1) with metal eyelet through inner side of backrest frame (3).





Feed inner bag (1) with metal eyelet between inner side of backrest frame (3) and spring wire (2).
