Removing and Installing/Replacing Drive Unit for Folding Sunroof

67 61 040 - Removing and installing/replacing drive unit for folding sunroof





Unlock service flap for convertible top crossbar (1) as pictured and fold down in direction of arrow.
Remove service flap (1) from convertible top crossbar (2).





Installation:
Lugs (1) and guides (2) of service flap (3) must not be damaged.
Make sure service flap (3) is correctly seated in convertible top crossbar (4).





Note:
Secure folding sunroof drive unit (2) against falling out.

Release screws (1), tightening torque 54 34 9AZ 54 34 Motor-Driven Convertible Top (Electrical Components).

Installation:
Screws for nuts (1) are microencapsulated.
Pull off lower folding sunroof drive unit (2) towards bottom.

Unfasten plug connection (3) and disconnect.
Remove folding sunroof drive unit (2).





Installation:
Insert gear (1) of folding sunroof drive unit (2) exactly in toothing (3).
