54 61 021 - Removing and installing/replacing both panels for rollover protection at front left or right





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear side trim panel Removing and Installing Rear Left or Right Side Trim Panel
- Remove head restraint Removing and Installing or Replacing Left or Right Rear Head Restraint





Removal of the panels on the left side is depicted; proceed in the same way for the right side.
Unclip panel (1) with plastic wedge.

Installation:
Retaining lugs must not be damaged nor must the panel be scratched. Replace panel if necessary.





Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 72 11 7AZ [1][2]Seat Belt Systems.
Feed anchor fitting (2) out of panel.
Remove panel.
