Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair

Replacing Bearings (Wheel Hub) For Front Wheel
Remove road wheel.

Remove brake disk.





Release hub collar nut with cross cut chisel and remove nut (1).

Install hint:
Fit new collar nut.
Output shaft to angular contact ball bearing
M22 x 1.5 stake nut 182 Nm
Note: Use only once.





Remove ABS sensor bolt and sensor (1) to avoid damage when removing hub.
ABS sensor to steering knuckle
Allen headed bolt 8 Nm





Release four bolts (1) holding wheel hub to knuckle carrier.
Wheel hub to knuckle carrier
M10 56 Nm

Remove wheel hub from knuckle and drive shaft.

Install hint:
Refit wheel hub to knuckle and drive shaft.
Refit new hub collar and tighten down.
Output shaft to angular contact ball bearing
M22 x 1.5 stake nut 182 Nm
Note: Use only once.

Caution: Lock collar nut into groove on drive shaft thread after tightening.
