Exhaust Pipe/Muffler Hanger: Service and Repair

18 21 051 - Replacing all exhaust suspension elements





Warning!
Danger of burning and other injuries!
These tasks should only be carried out on an exhaust system that has cooled down!





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear muffler or exhaust system





Release screws (1) and remove reinforcement plate.
Remove rubber mount (2) from exhaust pipe and replace.
Tightening torque 18 00 4AZ Specifications.





Remove rubber mount (1) of rear exhaust suspension element and mountings and replace.





Note:
Always replace rubber mount if rear muffler mounting or rear exhaust suspension element is replaced.
