Removing and installing/Replacing both brake disks
Special tools required:
^ 34 6 301
^ 34 6 306
^ 34 6 307
^ 34 6 308

Caution:
^ If the thickness of the brake disks drops below the minimum level, the disks must be replaced.
^ Always replace brake disks in pairs.
^ If the brake disks are replaced, you must also fit new brake linings.

Remove road wheels.





Remove retaining spring (1).





Remove plastic plugs (2).





Remove guide screws (2) and release brake caliper. Do not allow brake caliper to hang from brake hose, risk of damage to brake hose.

Install hint:
Only clean guide screws; do not grease.
Check threads.
Replace all guide screws which are not in perfect condition.
Guide bolt
Wrench size
7mm 30 - 35 Nm





Remove brake linings.

Using special tools 34 6 301 /34 6 306 /34 6 307 / 34 6 308 as shown, press brake piston into caliper.

Install hint:
Ensure inside brake lining is correctly located on piston.





Remove bolts holding bracket to arm and remove bracket.
Brake calliper to trailing arm
M10 65 Nm





Unscrew retaining screw and remove brake disk.

Install hint:
Replace brake disk retaining screw.
Brake disc to wheel hub
Torx Screw
M10 x 13 27 Nm
