Power Seat Drive Gear: Service and Repair

Replacing Lumbar Support Mechanism For Left Or Right Front Seat (Normal/Manual)

Remove rear panel.
Rotate lumbar support wheel to give minimum lumbar support.







Remove lumbar support wheel (1) by pulling in direction shown.
Release backrest cover lower retainer (2).
On lumbar support wheel side only:
Release backrest cover side retainer (3).
Release backrest cover upper retainer (4).







Remove screws securing lumbar mechanism drive to frame (1).
Release lumbar mechanism springs from frame (2).
Remove lumbar mechanism (3).

Install hint:
Referring to the illustration ensure the following:
A Approx. 10 mm (on both sides)
B Ensure springs are installed between the two cross wires
C Lumbar cable is routed behind lumbar support
D After all the above, ensure lumbar support does not foul frame.
