Removing and Installing/Replacing Fuel Filler Flap Hinge

41 63 002 Removing And Installing/Replacing Fuel Filler Flap Hinge

Special tools required:
- 00 9 310
- 00 9 323

All models:
Remove rear wheel.
Remove wheel arch liner.
Remove fuel filler flap.







Remove tank cap.
Unscrew nuts (1) from fuel filler pipe.

Tightening torque 5 Nm
Release fuel filler pipe (2) from retaining pins and remove from assembly/fuel filler flap.

Installation: Make sure that grounding cable (3) to connected to mounting (as shown).

Note: Release upper retaining clip first.







MINI ONE and MINI COOPER models:
Release retaining clips (1) for fuel filler flap; to do so, use special tool 00 9 323 (contained in tool kit 00 9 310).
Remove fuel filler flap from body.







MINI COOPERS:
Release retaining clips (1) for cover plate with special tool 00 9 323 and remove cover plate.
Remove fuel filler flap from body.
