Removing and Installing/Replacing Impact Sensor for Left or Right Side Airbag

65 77 551 - Removing and installing (replacing) impact sensor for left or right side airbag

Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear side trim panel Removing and Installing Rear Left or Right Side Trim Panel





Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release screws (2), tightening torque 65 77 2AZ 65 77 Airbag control unit and airbag sensors.
Remove impact sensor for side airbag (3).

Installation Note:
Arrow (4) on impact sensor for side airbag (3) must point in direction of entrance.





Replacement:
Carry out programming/coding Programming and Relearning.
