Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing/Replacing Guide Tube For Oil Dipstick

Remove intake air manifold.





Remove guide tube mounting bolt (1).

Remove guide tube (2).





Install hint:
Replace seal (1) on guide tube.
Coat new sealing ring (1) with Syntheso Glep 1.
Refer to BMW Parts Service.
Insert guide tube (2) into cylinder block.
Tightening down guide tube retaining screw
M10 55 Nm

Note: Make sure that guide tube and seal are correctly located.
