Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

11 23 010 - Removing and installing or replacing vibration damper





Special tools required:
- 11 2 150
- 11 8 241 11 8 240 Assembly Tool
- 11 8 242 11 8 240 Assembly Tool
- 11 8 270
- 11 8 310 11 8 310 Puller
- 11 8 320 11 8 320 Locating pins





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove right wheel Removing or Installing Front or Rear Wheel.
- Remove right wheel arch liner Service and Repair.
- Remove alternator drive belt.





Remove central bolt of vibration damper with special tools 11 2 150 and 11 8 320 11 8 320 Locating pins.





Insert special tool 11 8 270 and tighten down.

Installation:
Central bolt of crankshaft belt pulley.
Tightening torque 11 23 1AZ 11 23 Vibration Damper.





Attach special tool 11 8 310 11 8 310 Puller (three-claw extractor tool) and remove belt pulley.





Remove special tool 11 8 270 and install special tool 11 8 242 11 8 240 Assembly Tool.





Reinstall belt pulley with special tool 11 8 242 11 8 240 Assembly Tool and 11 8 241 11 8 240 Assembly Tool.





Assemble engine.
