Oil Pan: Service and Repair
11 13 000 Removing and Installing, Sealing or Replacing Oil Sump
Special Tools Required:

^ 11 8 402
Switch off ignition
Disconnect battery
Remove alternator drive belt
Unscrew spray guard and remove
Important!
When working on oil, coolant, or fuel circuit: Ensure that no oil, coolant or fuel drips into alterator. Cover alternator with a suitable material. Otherwise, the alternator may malfunction.
Unscrew oil drain plug (1).
Drain engine oil.
Tightening torque 11 13 1AZ.
Top up engine oil, if necessary.
Start engine and let run until oil indicator light goes out.
Switch off engine and wait approx. 5 minutes.
Check engine oil level.
Top up if necessary.
Remove impact pipe.
Lower front end module and attach special tools 11 8 401 and 11 8 402.
Detach plug connector from air conditioning compressor (1).
Unscrew retaining screws (2) of air conditioning compressor and lower compressor (3).
Attach compressor to front end module.
Unclip high-pressure line of air conditioning.
Tightening torque 64 52 1AZ.
Unscrew screws (1) of lower anti-roll bar and remove anti-roll bar.
Unscrew mounting bolts (2) and remove bracket from oil sump.
Tightening torque 11 12 16AZ.
Tightening torque 11 12 19AZ.
Unscrew retaining screws (1) for transmission.
Note:
Two shorter screws are screwed into the oil sump.
Tightening torque 21 11 1AZ.
Installation note:
Clean mating surfaces of oil sump and cylinder block and check for damage.
Replace gasket.
Unscrew oil sump screws in specified order (13-1) and remove oil sump.
Tighten oil sump screws in specified order (1-13).
Tightening torque 11 13 2AZ.
Note:
Apply the gasket according to the alignment lugs.
