Replacing Left Hand Driveshaft Seal (6 Speed)
Special Tools Required:

^ 23 4 001

Remove left hand driveshaft.





Use a screwdriver to lever out radial seal (1) from transmission housing.

Note: Care should be taken not to damage the transmission casing.





Using special tool 00 5 500 and special tool 23 4 001 fit seal into casing until the outer seal ring is flush with the transmission casing.

Install hint
Push output shaft over resistance of snap ring.
Output shaft must snap audibly into place.

Check gearbox oil level and check for leaks.
