Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve: Service and Repair

34 33 051 - Replacing non-return valve for brake booster (COOPER S)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove intake filter housing Service and Repair

Before beginning work, fully press the brake pedal several times to reduce the vacuum pressure in the brake booster. This makes it easier to detach the vacuum hose.
The non-return valve and the moulded hose are permanently connected to each other are replaced together as a single unit.





Remove non-return valve from brake booster.





Remove seal (1).

Release screws (2) on partition wall.

Disconnect line from connecting piece (3).

Press white lock to release.

Remove rubber grommet (4) from partition wall.

Pull partition wall forward and remove line.

Installation:
Check seal in brake booster and replace if necessary.
