Front Fender Liner: Description and Operation

Front Wheelhouse

The engine support legs of the front wheelhouses are of an 8 sided sectional construction and include an uninterrupted 290 mm axial crush zone and a bend initiation mechanism at the rear. Additionally there is a crush efficient aluminum bumper armature bolted to the front engine support legs.
(There is a similar crush efficient aluminum bumper armature fitted at the rear of the vehicle).
