Front Door Limiter: Service and Repair

51 21 280 - Removing and installing/replacing door arrester on left or right front door

Fully raise door window to end position.
Remove door trim panel Removing and Installing Front Left or Right Door Trim Panel.
Disconnect battery negative lead. Instructions for Disconnecting and Connecting Battery
Secure front door in completely open position.





Release seal (1) from fasteners (3).
Release Torx screws (2) and (3).
(2) Tightening torque 51 21 6AZ 51 21 Front Door Locks.
(3) Tightening torque 51 21 7AZ 51 21 Front Door Locks.
Remove door arrester.

Installation:
Check following parts of door arrester before installation:
1 - Hinge
2 - Thread
3 - Seal (1)
