Venting Cooling System And Checking For Leaks

Warning: Danger of scalding, cap should only be opened when the engine has cooled down.

Top up cooling system.

Check cooling system for water tightness.

Coolant level check

To check coolant level, allow engine to cool down.

Coolant temperature should not exceed 30°C. If ambient temperature is above 30°C, then allow engine to cool down at least to ambient temperature.

Check coolant level, top if necessary.

Use only recommended coolant.
